Label Owner & Producer
Our Record Label owner Kristian Smith has been producing Drum & Bass, and other forms of EDM from his Bristol (UK)
based studio since the mid 90’s to date.
Originally he started DJing Hardcore, Jungle / Drum & Bass, Gabba Techno and Happy Hardcore from the early 90's and
through to the mid 2000's at various venues around the UK under the name Dj Vinyl Ryder.
In 1995 Kristian formed one of the worlds first online dance music Websites called “Katch the Vibe”.
Throughout his Producing career he has produced under many names including Digital Justice, Albert Grimestein,
Dark Emotion, DUBST8, The Happy Pessimist, Kristian Solitude to name but a few.
In 1997 Kris formed the record label “Vinyl Related Records” Now know as DivisionBass Digital.
From 1997 to 2004 Kristian also promoted club nights called DigThis! in Bristol & Cornwall that played anything from
early 80s Disco to EDM to Drum & Bass.
